Consultation Fees

Fees vary slightly depending on the practitioner you are seeing, and whether you have access to any funding (through Medicare, NDIS, or your private health insurance).

FUNDING OPTIONS EXPLAINED:

(1) Mental Health Care Plans

The clinical psychologists, registered psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers at Two Minds Clinical Practice are registered Medicare providers. With a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) written by your GP, you can now access up to 10 sessions with a clinical/registered psychologist or a mental health social worker per calendar year. There is a gap fee (an out of pocket expense) per session, which is detailed below for each practitioner.

To access the Medicare rebate to see one of our practitioners, your GP needs to provide you with two documents:

  1. A referral letter addressed to Two Minds Clinical Practice, and

  2. A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)

If you have a MHCP, you will need to pay the full standard consultation fee upfront on the day of your appointment. Medicare rebates will be processed immediately for you, so that funds will be returned into your back account as soon as possible (usually within 1 business day). Please ensure you have your Medicare card details with you.

(2) National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Two Minds Clinical Practice can also accept referrals for those with NDIS funding for psychology and counselling sessions. Any practitioner at Two Minds Clinical Practice can offer counselling or psychology services for those with self-managed or plan managed NDIS funding. We are not an NDIA registered provider, however have one practitioner (Dane Cohen) who can see NDIA managed individuals.

(3) NSW Victim Services

Some of the practitioners at Two Minds Clinical Practice are approved counsellors with NSW Victim Services, and can provide treatment to individuals with the appropriate funding.

(4) Private Health Insurance

Many private health funds offer payment towards psychological services with registered counsellors and/or psychologists. This is dependent on the insurer and level of cover.
